The book of Enoch goes so far as to state that there were about 200 of these fallen angels, who were led by the ‘chiefs of their tens’ because of their general ambiguity of the Genesis entry, it is not really clear whether the nephilim and the sons of God were one and the same. Neither is it clear whether the sons of God were synonymous with angels-although, back in the 2nd century AD, Rabbi ben Jochai said they were not, and the Jews traditionally said they were not. The old testament is actually quite specific in its definitions-using the terms ‘sons of God and ‘angels’ independently and throughout, while the book of Job (1:6, 2:1) makes the point that when the sons of God presented themselves the Lord, Satan was among them. Outside the bible there are numerous Satans (Organized accusers) to be found, and in the book of Jubilees, they are represented by a certain Mastema. It is a common thread within non-canonical works that the satans performed their aggressive deeds only with God’s permission. Jehovah’s son Baal was said to be a satan, outside the Bible there were said to be numerous satans, represented by a certain ‘Mastema’. Non-canonical works say that the satans performed their deeds only with God’s permission. El Elyon himself acknowledged that there were other gods in the book of Joshua (24:2)
‘Jehovah takes his stand at the Council of El to deliver judgement among the elohim.’ – Psalm 82
‘Ye too are gods, sons of El Elyon, all of you.’ – verse 6
As far as the ‘Sons of God’ are concerned, this description has also been wrongly translated in the Genesis text. The Hebrew writings state more accurately that they were the bene ha-elohim, and the word elohim, is a plural noun. By a more correct translation, the passage should refer to the ‘sons of the gods’. If we are to be absolutely precise, elohim is a dual-gender plural and so the passage equally refers to the ‘sons of the goddesses’. In the book of Enoch, the sons of the gods are identified with a group of beings called Watchers. If the angels were not giants, and if they were not bene ha-elohim (sons of the gods and goddesses), then what are they? as related in Blood of the Holy Grail, the first thing to consider is that there is nothing spiritual or ethereal about the word ‘angel’. In its Greek form, the definition aggelos (more usually transliterated as angelos, or in latin angelus ) was translated from the original Hebrew mal’ath, which meant no more then ‘messenger’. The modern English language derives the word ‘angel’ from the Latin, but the Anglo-Saxon word engel came originally from the old French angele. An angel of the Lord or more correctly ambassador of the Lord. An archangel was an ambassador of the highest rank (the prefix ‘arch’ meaning ‘chief’, as in archduke and archbishop).
Generally, the old testament angels acted like normal human beings-as for example in Genesis (19:1-3). Most Old Testament angels belonged to this straight forward category, such as in (Genesis 16:7-12), (Judges 6:11-22), (Numbers 22:21-35), (Judges 13:3-9). Even the Archangel Gabriel is referred to as a ‘man’ in Daniel (9:21) when he arrives, saying to Daniel, ‘I have come to give you skill and understanding’. It is the non-canonical book of Enoch that we find Gabriel listed as one of the seven archangels, along with Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel Saraqael, and Remeil.
Naphidem and Eljo
30,000 B.C – Nephilim – “We now discover why it was that the Nephilim/Watchers were said to have fallen from grace having fathered their offspring from the daughters of men. Enoch tells that those of their senior number [the seven archangels] were annoyed that the Chiefs of the Tens had begun to teach their offspring too much too soon by imparting some of the secrets of the signs in earlier days. It was reported that they had taught about the metals of the earth, and how to use them; they taught about the roots of the earth and their medicines; they taught about the sun, the moon and the constellations, and of clouds and weather patterns. The Archangels were said to have admonished the chiefs of the Watchers for having ‘revealed the eternal secrets’ and for having thrown humankind into an internecine turmoil so that the preeminent sons of the Watchers were at varience with the evolutionary sons of men.
“The writings indicate that, in light of their new-found supremecy, the Watchers’ offspring took advantage of their priviledge and assumed martial control over their mundane brothers, [who were called the Eljo] slaughtering them wholesale in the process. It is often said that ‘a little knowledge is a dangerous thing’, and this is presented as the case in this regard. Although the sons of the Watchers [called the Naphidem] had gained an amount of advanced knowledge from their Nephilim fathers, they were genetically still somewhat primitive by way of their mothers, and they were, seemingly, unable to cope with this knowledge. Hence, they demonstrated the darwinian principle of the ‘survival of the fittest’. They were bigger and stronger than their neighbors; they were generally superior to their neighbors; and so they slew their neighbors. Indeed the Jubilees text indicates that there was a full-blown genocide, with the Naphidem race against the Eljo people, while the Nephilim unsuccessfully endeavored to restrain their Naphidem sons.” [Laurence Gardner, Genesis Of The Grail Kings, pp. 59-60]
“It is apparent, therefore, that the story of the Naphidem-Eljo racial war comes from long before the Flood, and from long before Adam. On that account, it is significant [as will be disclosed when we look at the Sumerian historical listings] that the Nephilim ancestry is itself said to trace back tens of thousands of years. From the time of the genocidal slaughter, the Nephilim became what we might describe as ‘guardian angels’ – the custodians of a salvaged world which they had practically destroyed. Their new domain was essentially the world of the Naphidem – a root breed of culturally advanced Afro-Asian homo sapiens, who had superseded their Eljo predecessors by about 30,000 years.”
All this happened long before the Flood, and long before Adam. After the genocide the Nephilim became the guardian angels of ‘a salvaged world which they had practically destroyed’. They managed the world of the Naphidem, a root breed of culturally advanced Afro-Asian homo sapiens.
The Enochian records recount that the Nephilim created a new race of man around 35000 BC. The daughters of men were not the European Neanderthal, as proved by mitochondrial DNA. So there had to be another contemporary race, a parallel hominoid strain which brought on Afro-Asian Cro-Magnon, from which we are descended. From ancient texts it appears that modern man was created as a hybrid by the Elohim, from a strain which was far more advanced than Neanderthal. A hybrid Naphidem stock, the people who became Cro-Magnon.
From 1100 BC a marked change in domestic cultivation happened in the Fertile Crescent – North Africa to Mesopotamia – way ahead of any of the surrounding areas. And again in 4000 BC there was another remarkable spurt of civilization, centred on the region of Sumer. The first of all known Empires was found in the city of Uruk (modern Iraq takes its name from the city). Here were the first ever Kings and Priests. They were suddenly thousands of years ahead in advancement and natural evolution. This dawn of modern socially structured society was the Age of Adam.
In ancient Sumer the collective term for the ‘Lofty Ones’ was Anunnaki (meaning ‘Heaven came to Earth’). Their primordial Father was Apsu and his consort was Tiamat, the Dragon Queen. Among their offspring was Anshar and Kishar who gave birth to a son Anu. Anu had two sons: Enlil (Lord of the Air) and Enki (Lord of the Earth and Waters). It was Enki and his second wife Nin-khursag who created Adam. The granddaughter of his brother Enlil (Jehovah) was Lilith. In all there was said to be 600 Anunnaki of the Netherworld and 300 of the Heavens. Enlil later emerged as the God of Moses.
For the ancient Sumerians the Anunnaki were certainly advanced but they were not worshipped as religious idols, as later gods were. The word ‘worship’ originally meant ‘work’. Ancient tablets give an uninterrupted list of Kings from the dawn of Monarchy from long before the Flood down to the 18th century BC, and talks of the ‘the Kingship had been lowered from Heaven.’ In 1948 Professor Henri Frankfort said that these Kings differed in essence from other men, leaving problematic implications.
If the real and original Flood took place in 4000 BC then the first Kings ruled around 30,000 BC. The time that the hybrid Nephidem and Cro-Magnon appeared. And when the Nephilim became the guardians (Watchers) of their new-found society.
The author reluctantly speculates that everything points to them being from another world. And that this theory is less perplexing than the concept of a single, unidentifiable entity that is perceived as having no source of origin whatsoever.
Their appearance was apparently quite human, tho some archaic figurines depict them as having ‘serpentine’ features. Figurines also found as far as the Transylvanian regions of the Black Sea. It was also from this region, Scythia, that the ancient Scot Gaels migrated to Ireland, and an old Irish word for serpent or dragon is ‘sumaire’.
